Yes. In April 2026, security researchers discovered that several versions of DAEMON Tools Lite had been compromised and were distributing malware through the official installer.

According to reports from Kaspersky and BleepingComputer, attackers injected a Trojan into DAEMON Tools Lite versions 12.5.0.2421 through 12.5.0.2434. During installation, the malicious code created a backdoor on affected systems and downloaded additional malware payloads. The compromised installers were reportedly available through the official DAEMON Tools distribution channels for a limited period.
